On March 8, 2025, ATW successfully completed the batch delivery of 16 inch and 10 inch ANSI Class 2500 floating ball valves for 545°C high-temperature working conditions. The delivery seminar was attended by clients’ representatives from Shenghong Petrochemical Corp., technical experts from Sinopec, China Energy Group, Yitai Group, and international partners. There was a long time technical communication for professional cooperation at the event.
During the seminar, ATW introduced pain points and challenges in high-temperature and high-pressure floating ball valve design, such as external leakage, internal leakage, jam, and coating delamination. ATW gave out solutions based on basic engineering analysis and lots of experiments. ATW developed physics and mathematical models to analyze all above challenges. This technology helped to define design rules and specifications for extreme condition ball valves.
After the technical presentation, ATW showed its AI-driven design system for all experts the first time. In a demonstration, AI platform used existing 10-inch and 16-inch designs to created a 24-inch high-temperature and high-pressure floating ball valve based on selected parameters from participants. This breakthrough helps standardize products, improve manufacturing consistency, and speed up design cycles through smart parameter adjustments. The atmosphere of whole communication and seminar was extremely lively and enthusiastic. ATW planned to hold seminar about half of an hour and actually the seminar lasted more than two and half of an hour. And all attending experts still wanted to keep on discussing technical details.
All experts agreed it’s first time high-temperature and high-pressure big size floating ball valves were fully designed and manufactured by a local supplier in China. They expect the product to perform well after these valves are on line. Experts also gave useful advice which focused on valve details and future research and optimizing.
